Description

This is the last movie by the fabulous Ahmed Zaki, in which he plays the legendary singer of Abdel Halim Hafez. The movie tells the story of the famous singer throuh a radio interview with him in his last days, in whcih he recalls his childhood in the village of Helwat in Zagazig, and the loss of his parents when he was a young boy, which was the reason his uncle put him into an orphanage. He was introduced to the stage by Yusuf Bey Wahby, thus beginnin his singing career. Many of Haleem's song in the sixties were asscoaited to national occasions, which endeared him to his fans. The moviealso reveals Halim's heart and added t his already faliling health that eventually led to his death. Ahmed Zaki did not live to watch his masterpiece as he died during the shooting and the film director had to replace him with his son, Hayham Zaki, who played the role of young Halim.
