Stories by Egyptian women: my grandmother's cactus

This collection presents a new generation of Egyptian women writers whose work began to emerge in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They write about women's lives in many different settings of contemporary Egypt, drawing themes from Pharoanic, early Coptic and Islamic traditions.
